Letter to the Editor of the Spokane Spokesman-Review in support of Climate Action and Green Jobs

I have never written a letter to the editor before but I love Washington so much that I can't not write a letter. I am proud of our governor, who made the priorities for 2008 for Washington state those related to the environment, global warming and green jobs. I feel by her action and that of our senators and representatives, Washington can take the lead in investing in clean energy and help to create thousands of good, green jobs for the people of Washington. It is an opportunity to grow our economy in the state, make the air cleaner and create a better future. By hitting the challenge head on, we can do what is moral and right for not only our state but the country, since this is a problem that affects the entire world.

I feel that now is the time for action on climate change so that we can leave a better world for our children and grandchildren by protecting our planet from devastating destruction. If the Climate Action and Green Jobs bills pass we can be a proud people from the state of Washington who have taken a big step to a more promising future.
